Some of our proudest achievements over the last year have come through joining the Food Starter Incubator. Food starter has really been a godsend for our company. We have been able to realize many goals much quicker than we had ever anticipated at a fraction of the cost. We have been able to connect with a variety of fantastic resources who are helping us in various aspects of product development, marketing, validation, technical support, and much more. Our customized accelerator unit has been key in setting realistic high growth projections for the upcoming year and has allowed us to keep intellectual property and quality assurance in house.

Despite my experience even a successful industry professional such as myself can greatly benefit from the many services offered here. Foodstarter is a reliable launch platform, where I can consult with food industry experts for insight and advice as, well as work closely with other members of the program to receive honest feedback and encouragement.

Enterprise Toronto helped us gain valuable knowledge about starting a food business and introduced and connected us to an array of resources such as the Toronto Food Business Incubator and the Futurepreneur (formerly CYBF) program. We were able to launch our business more quickly than anticipated as a result.
I highly recommend surrounding yourself with a support network. Food Starter provides this for food entrepreneurs getting started or looking to grow.

Tropix was chosen as one of five finalists in The Next Great Food Product Contest 2012! The contest, sponsored by Enterprise Toronto / City of Toronto, was open to new commercial food or non-alcoholic beverage companies and held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
As one of the lucky finalists, Tropix had the opportunity to present our products at the Small Business Forum. It was an exciting day and although Tropix was not the winner, we are thrilled to have been among the finalists in a large field of food and beverage offerings. We received excellent feedback from the panel and came away from the event energized for our next challenge!.
